pictured is not the last version, i tried stuff and just put the battery closer to the front truck, better stability. This is the "test" setup, and, i have tested, i'm convinced.
I had troubles finding what product would be the best for me on the internet : was looking for belt drive for using orangatang wheels, sufficient range, and safety
i'm do downhill longboarding at a european competitive level so i just would not buy a flexy, flat, big board. I user an old Jet board, 9.5", 84/90a front and -5° 88/97 back
took only one slam because of a wet patch i did not see (helmet is MANDATORY whatever your skill)
did 280km, 70km/h downhill seems to be close to the limit of the trucks even on a big board, and my average speed on this is around 30, so 2minutes per kilometer. Super handy for commuting, super fun, you can have downhill like full grip runs almost anywhere, easy 45 km/h on the flat...
only thing i'm a little worried about are the belt, because i may be way more brutal with my board than most reviewer on the web and it tends to touch rocks and big cracks. I'll get bigger wheels as soon as one fails, will fix the issue.
Let me know if i can send you a clip or two, @maxime.moineau on instagram/youtube
And good work putting an insert for the back truck, few knows but... yeah i don't have any downhill setup without inserts or sphericals. Just better.
Would advise, but take it easy it goes fast enough to get hurt !
May do a review some day but the weather in France is not that good this season.
The board's specs and features perfectly matched what I read on the site before purchasing. I even measured my last trip cruising around SLC and I can confirm that it got a little under 19 miles in range. the battery will obviously wear out over time but the fact that it got more than the advertised range is awesome! If I'm ever in the market for another electric longboard I will certainly come back to ownboard.
If I did have one criticism though, They claimed to have boards waiting in their warehouse in California but they didn't have any of the W2 pros so it took significantly longer to arrive than they advertised at check out. This wasn't a massive issue however as It's currently winter and I'm not the type without patience.
My experience with Ownboard started with a Zeus Pro Carbon that I bought on Facebook for a decent deal with trading a one wheel (not my thing). I bought that board with 200 miles on it, it now has over 3000 miles on it (no joke). This new Prometheus is insanely comfortable, thanks to ownboard and the other companies involved with the production of this board. Keep this trend going!
Again...Thanks!
there is not a lot to say because it is almost perfect !
delivery was long but the ownboard team was always responsive and helpful.
the skate is really powerfull, it behaves really well at high speeds, and the range is HUGE.
the only thing i would like is a bash guard and a handle behind to put my red lights.
i am really happy with my purchase
I am absolutely obsessed with my board. I’m still newish to E-Skating and had another board for a couple of months (brand beginning with E) and it made me fall in love with e-skateboarding but the board was not up to scratch! Changing to the OwnBoard Bamboo AT Pro was like NIGHT AND DAY! I can go skating with my partner and actually keep up with him. I can go up hills with ease. The AT is an absolute WIN! Love OwnBoard, love their customer service. The brand is awesome. Thank you!!!
Once again I received my boars and I am so happy... So fast and smooth.. This a board for 1100$but with price so soooo cool.. Thank you good people.. My seco d board yeey
If you like exploring and taking your board out on long rides. This is the one for you. I’ve ridden over 30 miles without really scratching the limit of the battery, and I’m a heavier rider at 6’4 260. The board does not disappoint. Only thing I should say however. Tighten your screws when you get it. But that’s not an issue.
I've had this charger for about a month now. It's working fine so far for my carbon zeus pro. I really like the upgrade thats
been made to it. Instead of a plastic casing, it's now metal. Far less fragile. Hoping this one outlasts the life of my old charger
My 6” wheels are a good size. I just bought the Prometheus and would prefer 7” wheels to the 8” wheels that the board comes with.
I don't do reviews but this board deserves it. It's really well built, every part is well assembled and no noise during the ride. It's really a beautiful board to, trucks, rims, deck and geardrive, everything is nice. Very good torque, smooth, stable, can go everywhere and a good range. Every minute of ride is a pleasure. Perfect board for me. Thanks Ownboard. 😊
